Match Maker Campaign Launches

We’re looking for people willing to make a match!

(Niagara Falls, Ontario – December 1st, 2017)

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Niagara Falls (BBBSNF) has launched our first monthly donor campaign in our agencies history. Just in time for the holidays we have decided to focus our efforts on expanding our small circle of monthly donors into a group of dedicated monthly providers who believe in the power mentoring and the positive impact it has on our community.

We proudly have more children matched with mentors, and have more programs in local schools, than at any point in our organizational history.

But with success come challenges. Making and supporting one match through its first year cost $1,000 and while funding streams lack dependability our capacity to support our matches and programs is tested as the need increases. This is why we’re looking for people willing to make a match. We need a dedicated group of monthly donors who will commit to support mentoring matches in our community.

Our Match Makers will make it possible for children and youth to be matched with caring mentors, participate in in-school mentoring programs and allow Big Brothers Big Sisters of Niagara Falls to financially support future volunteer mentors through the initial training and screening process.

Monthly giving can be as simple as giving up one cup of coffee a week and by doing so you have thoughtfully decided to invest in the youth of our community. Please consider a monthly donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Niagara Falls, become a Match Maker because you believe that opening a child’s eyes to what is – opens their mind to what could be.
